PART IV : Listen… And understand…

    Hello again all,
       Here’s part four of the “Eight Days to Peace” series. Our focus today is “Listen, and Understand”. But to my utter dismay, I see that not many comments have penetrated through to this eight day series. Please express your views, and make this series a success.

Listen… And Understand…
In our life, speaking out contributes a lot. But imagine theres no one to listen to you… Lets talk in terms of your website. You have a very splashy website. But no readers to read it! How would you feel?

Thats exactly how a speaker feels, when there are no listeners. I know your next question… I hear it coming… You’re going to ask “Is that MY fault???” Here’s your answer : “YES!”

If you dont have anyone to listen to you, it means that you dont listen to anyone either! Take my advice, and trust me, it will make a difference. Listen to what others have to say.Listen to others’ opinion. Understand what they are trying to convey. Give appropriate comments to their statements. This way, you can promote global understanding. And meanwhile, you will be chalking up scores on your self-respect card, getting more people respecting you, and in the process, listening to you. Thus its a win-win-win situation. A win situation for you, since you have your listeners. A win situation for your listeners, as your opinions might strike up a revolution. And a win situation for the world as such, since it promotes Global understanding, resulting in lesser fights or battles, and in more companionships and love.

I hope that you have understood what I tried to convey. In a nutshell, listen to what others have to say. It promotes love, affection, companionship and better understanding, and thus, world peace…
