The Blank Noise Project

       Hey all,
          Here we have a *hot* issue. Its nothing to do with World Peace. But it seemed interesting. Its a movement started in India named “Blank Noise Project”. And they have a very interesting aim! To act against eve-teasers in the streets of India. :D

            To quote, from their blog,

Blank- that which is not allowed meaning, form or articulation.
Noise- that which heightens, builds itself.
Eve Teasing as the name suggests,is considered a joke, a prank.Eve
Teasing is street sexual harassment.
The project seeks to recognize eve teasing as a sexual crime and
establish the issue as something that may be normal, but is
unacceptable.
The Blank Noise project works both online and on the streets of
Bangalore, Mumbai , Delhi. We invite you to come along!

             They hold regular meetings, and come up with innovative, and intimidating ideas on what to do with such communal-harming idiots! Eve teasing is a serious crime. And its growing like fungi on a piece of old bread! Anywhere you go, there will be couple of guys out there, scanning and observing every movement made by a pretty girl! ;) And sometimes, the actions get quite physical! Thats where Blank Noise Project comes. They intend to abolish eve-teasing from India, thereby making the nation safer for women. They intend to spread their wings, and establish the movement in every city of India. Maybe later they will spread abroad! :)
