SPAM vs PPP - the difference… And what some people cant dig…

Ladies and gentlemen,
Last night, I had promised you a humour article, which you got in the last article. Little did I know that you would be getting another humour article! Heads up, for the latest rage on the net… Don’t you remember me tattling about PayPerPost and its new innovative blog advertising methods?

Don’t you remember the features, and functionality of PPP? Well, out here on the net, a few quite pompous bloggers blurted their hearts out, against PPP, without even first checking out the site :P

Well, the guy said that PPP was creating blogosphere SPAM… Those posts were naturally quite misinformed, biased and off-base, but anyway, here we bring you a few excerpts from the blogosphere’s mistake of the month :)

If you’re a blogger and want to keep the blogosphere pure I suggest calling these people–and the advertisers who are using them–out. Why can’t we know who the advertisers are on Payperpost? Are we to stupid too know? I wish someone would just out all the disgusting marketers who use this server so we can all shame them for their covert, evil efforts.

Careless Careless misinformation. We DO know out advertisers on PayPerPost. In case you havnt noticed mister, we BLOG about the advertisers; not the advertiser’s mother-in-law’s neice’s grandson’s second cousin thrice removed by marriage’s website!!! Funny thing is, in Google Adsense or other web services, we really dont know who our advertiser is, do we?

Keep the marketers out of your posts and inside the ad units!!!

Woopsies… The guy I’m talking about here is a millionare… Unlike him, we poor bloggers would like a little ale to cover up our hosting costs…. OK, not ale, I meant money… :P Anyway, the point is who is HE to say all that? If Sergey Brin or Larry Page or Bill Gates say it, well then its a different issue! :P

In his latest blog he says -

The PayPerPost folks have essentially thrown up the white flag saying that “we get it” and transparency “is on their radar.” That is–in my opinion–a fancy way of saying “we know what we’re doing is wrong, but we don’t want to admit that so look for us to slowly change our policies and clean up our act.”

My guess is that within 30 days they will force their bloggers to disclose their paid posts (probably at the bottom of the post not the top), and they will make the list of advertisers on the site public. I mean, folks are already posting the advertisers names all over the place anyway, so they might as well get credit for it.

I’ve done my job.

Yep. He did his job. He sucked up :) ! And thats why many people are gathering up to form a conference against him :P … Lol….

Aaaand finally, after he’s got all the attention, he says -

Was this all planned by me and PPP in advance? You have to pay to see my cards.

Yeah right! Even Saddam Hussein would stand stunned with the weirdism of posts going to such and extent! Yeesh! In my opinion, PPP produces SPAM as much as Windows 95 is bug-free. :D

Anyway, I hope you guys have had your fun… I had mine typing up this article… Caio for now… :)

And for those of you who are wondering what happened to those lovely, boring, philosophy articles, check out the next post I’m going to post(sometime tomorrow or the day after) :D
