HUMOUR : 25 superb Analogies by students!
Hey all,
I found this while I was browsing a few of my most favourite blogs
Its a great joke - by students. These were quotes by students all over the world, collected and passed on via email forwards
Enjoy them
1. Her face was a perfect oval, like a circle that had its two sides gently compressed by a ThighMaster.
2. His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a dryer without Cling Free.
3. He spoke with the wisdom that can only come from experience, like
a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one
of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country
speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar
eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it.4. She grew on him like she was a colony of E. Coli, and he was room-temperature Canadian beef.
5. She had a deep, throaty, genuine laugh, like that sound a dog makes just before it throws up.
6. Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever.
7. He was as tall as a six-foot, three-inch tree.
8. The revelation that his marriage of 30 years had disintegrated
because of his wife’s infidelity came as a rude shock, like a surcharge
at a formerly surcharge-free ATM machine.9. The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn’t.
10. McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty bag filled with vegetable soup.
11. From the attic came an unearthly howl. The whole scene had an
eerie, surreal quality, like when you’re on vacation in another city
and Jeopardy comes on at 7:00 p.m. instead of 7:30.12. Her hair glistened in the rain like a nose hair after a sneeze.
13. The hailstones leaped from the pavement, just like maggots when you fry them in hot grease.
14. Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced
across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one
having left Cleveland at 6:36 p.m. traveling at 55 mph, the other from
Topeka at 4:19 p.m. at a speed of 35 mph.15. They lived in a typical suburban neighborhood with picket fences that resembled Nancy Kerrigan’s teeth.
16. John and Mary had never met. They were like two hummingbirds who had also never met.
17. He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant, and she was the East River.
18. Even in his last years, Granddad had a mind like a steel trap, only one that had been left out so long it had rusted shut.
19. Shots rang out, as shots are wont to do.
20. The plan was simple, like my brother-in-law Phil. But unlike Phil, this plan just might work.
21. The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while.
22. He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck,
either, but a real duck that was actually lame, maybe from stepping on
a land mine or something.23. The ballerina rose gracefully en Pointe and extended one slender leg behind her, like a dog at a fire hydrant.
24. It was an American tradition, like fathers chasing kids around with power tools.
25. He was deeply in love. When she spoke, he thought he heard bells, as if she were a garbage truck backing up.
Howwwzaaat?
And the BlogForPeace award for the best quote goes to -
23. The ballerina rose gracefully en Pointe and extended one slender leg behind her, like a dog at a fire hydrant.

An article on Backward Philosophy…
Hey all,
I think I flunked my Maths exam today
Lol… Chemistry tomorrow. I got extremely fuzzed out with all those organic polymers, that I thought I would just check out my blog
I don’t know how many of you know about Ranya, she’s a new reader of mine, and has commented a couple of times. I drifted towards her site today, and found it quite interesting, though very popular yet
Oh, if you havn’t guessed already, this is another post for my Race Against Racism Blogathon…

I found one of her articles quite thought provoking. Its titled “Backward Philosohpy : A few questions“. She has asked a few very thought provoking questions. I would request each of you to read the article, and then, read the rest of my post.
What if others accused USA for the world’s safety and peaceful state?
What if others decided to stop the US production of mass desctructing weapons, and “liberate” the states?
What if others started bombing the states, murdering it’s nations, wrongly accusing innocents of terrorism and terrorist acts?
What if peaceful and lovely US homes were burned to ruins?
What if US children were left orphans on the streets with nowhere to turn to, but a dark and hopeless future?
What if safety was the new word for war and vice versa?
What if innocents were being abused, raped, heartlessly
tortured and humiliated for nothing but mere entertainment of the
hearts of hatred? What if mothers lost their sons? And families torn apart?
What if there was no hope? And life seemed like hell itself?
What if the US resources were being controlled and managed by some military forces of these so-called others?
What if people couldn’t tell life and death apart.. anymore?
What if you were being told big lies about a liberated and freedom-filled future, bright and peaceful?
There is a saying that goes something like: Be the change
you want the world to be. Really, what does war really lead to, except
for more war? What does cruelty do except for serving the paths of more
cruelty? Ask yourself, and answer as honestly as you can, has the Iraq
war really helped for the world peace and safety? Has it, by any means,
decreased terrorism on worldly basis? Has it? I really would like to
know.
These are the questions she has asked. I don’t agree with her though. It just isn’t fair to ask all these questions, for a lot of reasons. For one thing, USA IS the world No.1 country right now, no doubts about that. Throughout history, we can see the “survival of the fittest” rule in action. So if a country needs to survive, it needs to adopt such die-hard tactics.
Also, what wrong have the American PEOPLE done towards Iraq? Its mainly just stupid politics by the one and only Bush… By killing innocent Americans, can a person get revenge on USA’s President? All he cares about is getting votes, and more votes, and even more votes. If American people are killed, if American mothers are childrenless, if the peaceful and lovely US homes were burned to ruins, WHAT GOOD WOULD IT DO FOR PEACE?

Dear friends, fight not fire, with fire. Douse it with water… Ahimsa, nonviolence, is the only way for and of peace. Mahatma Gandhi, was a truly great man!

Anyway, Tanya has done a good job with the article and has ended it off beautifully, but she needs to consider another angle as well
By the way, not to make a too fine point of it, but still, she asked -
What if innocents were being abused, raped, heartlessly
tortured and humiliated for nothing but mere entertainment of the
hearts of hatred?
Uh, aren’t they already doing that?
:D
Lol… No offence meant here to any community, these are just my views and opinions, open for criticism, or like I said before, open to be viewed at another angle. I’m quite interested in hearing your say
So please do drop in your comments via the Comments(below each post) or privately via email.
Cheers for now, and let me get on with those damned polymers

Redskins : the story of their abuse…
Hello all,
My friend, Marc, at the Williford Blog has a great article titled “Who are the Redskins?” which gives you a great outline on the racial discrimination of American Indians!
Anyway, the article starts like this…
This recently came to my attention by a friend of mine. I know that
sports teams use of Native American mascots was offensive but I didn’t
know just how offensive the term “Redskin” was. I found the American Indian Cultural Support website page on Offensive Mascots. This is a letter to the editor on the term Redskin.“Dear Editor; It was brought to my attention that some were…

Antonio - ze master PPP impressionist…
Hey all,
As you might all know, I had posted a catfish video earlier, of Brutus the impressionist(myself
)… I thought I would posr the original “Antonio” catfish impressionist video
Check it out, and tell me what you feel about it…
So… How was it? Nice effect by closing his eye
Ofcourse, not as good a catfish as fine
Oh, and is there any specific reason for this catfish video? I have a theory… Ted had a fight with his wife(he’s closing his one eye to hide a blackeye)
He went to the bathroom(the bathroom robe). Got mad. Took an HP Digicam, and shot this video. He has cleverly hidden his blackeye by closing it
Lol… Just a theory
[I don’t want a line of MindComet lawyers outside my house tomorrow]
Anyway, until next time, adios amigos

RACE AGAINST RACISM : US Soldier teasing Iraqi kids!!
Inspite of my exams, I was browsing through a few racism related sites, when I found this video!

The video was quite brutal! It chilled me from head to toe! It is a video of a US soldier teasing Iraqi kids with a bottle of pure drinking water! He makes the kids run for a long time, before he gave them the water!

Microscopes - a review… [paid review]
Hello all,
I found this great review oppurtunity in a service which pays bloggers like me [
]… Its about Microscopes… Since I’ve always adored microscopes, I decided to do a great job on it

A microscope is the highway for an individual into the world of microscopic organisms! And a cool new site has been released by the best optical dealer www.opticsplanet.com. The site is “www.Microscopes.com”. They are offering huge discounts right now, up to 70%, and a free UPS on orders over $29.95. Don’t ask me why a person would want a UPS with his microscope, ‘coz I don’t know
Anyway, the reason why I talk about microscopes is that, most of the kids would LOVE a microscope as a gift! I used to adore microscopes while I was a kid, and used to sneak a glance at the school microscopes whenever I got an oppurtunity! [Its also a great way to keep your kids occupied from disturbing you
]
Microscopes have their niche in every place… From a doctors lab, to a technicians lab, to high school, to medical school, to enthusiastic would be scientists and microbiologists
. And Microscopes.com is offering every kind of microscope you can hope for! Kids stuff, student microscopes, industrial microscopes, microscope accessories, huge selection of all sorts of loupes magnifiers and other stuff!

Well, OpticsPlanet Microscopes is having a season sale! They are giving HUGE DEALS on accessories with unique gifts, with extended no hassle holiday retun policy!

But like I said, I enjoy microscopes… Oh yeah, I need to get one
Adios for now….
Immediate judgements…
Hello all,
A couple of days back, one of my friends sent me this mail. It was truly beautiful, so I thought I would share it with you
First off, look at these pictures closely. Enjoy what you see, and then, and only then, scroll down, and read the rest of the message(I bet you you’ll be scrolling up to see the images again while you read
)

Now to the message
Its actually a story…
There was a man who had four sons.He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.
The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.
When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.
The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted.
The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.
The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.
The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.
The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree’s life.
He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.
If you give up when it’s winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.
Don’t let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don’t judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come some time or later.
Hmmm? Didn’t you scroll up to see the images again?
But its a beautiful message conveyed in a beautiful way! I hope all of you understood what I meant by this post
Adios for now

Site Review of ReviewMe
Hey all,
There’s a lot of buzz going about the internet about Consumer Generated Advertising. I’m a dedicated member of PayPerPost (
) and I select only the most blending in posts for BlogForPeace(the money is used to pay for the domain, and the rest goes to charity).
But, there were many people out there who said that a new site called ReviewMe was better than PayPerPost. So just for the kick of it, I thought I would sign up, and so I did.
At first sight, ReviewMe(RM) loaded faster than PPP, but was less professional, and less attractive to a blogger, than PPP. PPP had this professional looking “https” protocol, which is like a guarantee for security for a person more well versed with the internet. But, RM beats PPP at the fact that you dont have to sign in every single time you open the site(cookies
)…
The sign up procedure was simple, and easy at RM. It allowed 14+ old persons, which is good for kids to make easy money! But the lack of a “Terms of Service” is conspicous. And since they allow under 18s, they should be having a good Privacy Policy as well, which they lack!
Their response was good! I got my site accepted in 3 minutes, compared to the 3 days wait at PPP. And this is my first paid post
Their system is good. Advantages are - 1) Posts can be taken now, and typed in later(within specified time limit) , 2) Advertisers find you and you can accept or deny advertisers, so your blog wont look like a splog. 3) They require you to disclose the post as a paid post 4) Quite fast 5) Pays a minimum of $20! 6) Money based on your blog’s popularity and rankings
But the disadvantages, or rather, what lacks, is a proper Privacy Policy, a proper Terms of Service, and immediate payment(like in PPP). It also lacks a motivative spirit… I dont know, I shouldnt judge by first appearances.
Anyway, you guys check the site out, and tell me how it is…
Cheers, and until next time, cya!
P.S: BlogForPeace might get a new blogger soon!

Fwd : A good cause…
Hello all,
In one of my close blogging friend’s site, I saw a link to a good cause(I’ll quote the article below…). Actually, I found this post when I was searching for backlinks via Technorati, and I saw that Marc had said “Ok, I know I’m not usually the one into saving the world (I usually
leave that side of my personality out of my blog) that distinction
usually goes to my friend Mohan at Blog for Peace …”
Lol…
Thanks for that comment Marc! Anyway, in his post titled A Good Cause, he mentions about a “Save Darfur” campaign. In fact, its a petition that you can sign, to save a town called Darfur. Its unique in the fact that it isnt asking for an impeach of President Bush, but asking Bush to take action! I personally think that its a movement worth supporting
So check out their website
The petiton goes like this :
President Bush, Every day, the 2.5 million people chased from their
homes in Darfur face the threat of starvation, disease, and rape, while
the few lucky enough to remain in their homes risk displacement,
torture and murder. Therefore, we call on you to do the following:
- Strengthen the understaffed and overwhelmed African Union peackeeping force already in Darfur.
- Push for the deployment of a strong UN peacekeeping force.
- Increase humanitarian aid and ensure access for aid delivery.
- Establish a no-fly zone.
So you can help them out
Adios for now…

My Catfish video…
Hey all,
Ted, from PayPerPost, a site which helps you get paid for blogging, did a video yesterday, which showed him as “Anotonio” the master impressionist, who turned into a catfish… He challenged us bloggers to beat him, so here, I present my OWN catfish video, where I not only change into a catfish, but also tell you how to
[feel free to compare my video with Ted’s… Ted’s video is located at

Race Against Racism delay…
Hello all,
I started off a Race Against Racism blogathon the last day, but I wasnt able to keep to it, due to the death of one of my close friend’s father. I had to visit him, along with my classmates, and we tried our best at consoling him. So I would like to express my condolences to my friend, Vishnu. I hope his family lives up to it…
Anyway, I will restart the blogathon sometime today… (I have a fever

Why Oh Why do I love PayPerPost?
Hey all,
I asked myself today, why oh why do you I love PayPerPost? Why should I spend so much of my time out there working for them, when I really dont need much blog advertising. Why do I need so much money? I just wanted to cover my hosting expenses…

Well, the answer came to me in a flash… Uh, a few flashes
- I love the staff
- I love the other members
- I love to blog
- I love the interface
- I love money
I can buy more domains
- I made so many great friends
- My PR hopped from 4 to 5!
- I love the advertisers
- It gives me a lot to blog about
- Provides own images, no need to worry about ugly frogs etc for image hosting
What I would like at PPP -
- More advertisers
- More Charities to donate to
- Image hosting (?)
- Blog hosting (?)
- A PPP Blue Monster V2 helicoptor, based in India
Lol…
I guess I stand justified at spending my time at PayPerPost… But mind you, I’m not spending too much time… Just a little… And I already have $300+
Thank you PPP!
Toodle for now
