Site Review of ReviewMe

Hey all,
    There’s a lot of buzz going about the internet about Consumer Generated Advertising. I’m a dedicated member of PayPerPost ( :) ) and I select only the most blending in posts for BlogForPeace(the money is used to pay for the domain, and the rest goes to charity).

    But, there were many people out there who said that a new site called ReviewMe was better than PayPerPost. So just for the kick of it, I thought I would sign up, and so I did.

    At first sight, ReviewMe(RM) loaded faster than PPP, but was less professional, and less attractive to a blogger, than PPP. PPP had this professional looking “https” protocol, which is like a guarantee for security for a person more well versed with the internet. But, RM beats PPP at the fact that you dont have to sign in every single time you open the site(cookies :) )…

    The sign up procedure was simple, and easy at RM. It allowed 14+ old persons, which is good for kids to make easy money! But the lack of a “Terms of Service” is conspicous. And since they allow under 18s, they should be having a good Privacy Policy as well, which they lack!

    Their response was good! I got my site accepted in 3 minutes, compared to the 3 days wait at PPP. And this is my first paid post :P

    Their system is good. Advantages are - 1) Posts can be taken now, and typed in later(within specified time limit) , 2) Advertisers find you and you can accept or deny advertisers, so your blog wont look like a splog. 3) They require you to disclose the post as a paid post  4) Quite fast  5) Pays a minimum of $20!  6) Money based on your blog’s popularity and rankings

    But the disadvantages, or rather, what lacks, is a proper Privacy Policy, a proper Terms of Service, and immediate payment(like in PPP). It also lacks a motivative spirit… I dont know, I shouldnt judge by first appearances.

    Anyway, you guys check the site out, and tell me how it is… :)

Fwd : A good cause…

Hello all,
    In one of my close blogging friend’s site, I saw a link to a good cause(I’ll quote the article below…). Actually, I found this post when I was searching for backlinks via Technorati, and I saw that Marc had said “Ok, I know I’m not usually the one into saving the world (I usually
leave that side of my personality out of my blog) that distinction
usually goes to my friend Mohan at Blog for Peace …”

    Lol… :) Thanks for that comment Marc! Anyway, in his post titled A Good Cause, he mentions about a “Save Darfur” campaign. In fact, its a petition that you can sign, to save a town called Darfur. Its unique in the fact that it isnt asking for an impeach of President Bush, but asking Bush to take action! I personally think that its a movement worth supporting :) So check out their website :)
   
    The petiton goes like this :

President Bush, Every day, the 2.5 million people chased from their
homes in Darfur face the threat of starvation, disease, and rape, while
the few lucky enough to remain in their homes risk displacement,
torture and murder. Therefore, we call on you to do the following:

  • Strengthen the understaffed and overwhelmed African Union peackeeping force already in Darfur.
  • Push for the deployment of a strong UN peacekeeping force.
  • Increase humanitarian aid and ensure access for aid delivery.
  • Establish a no-fly zone.

    So you can help them out :) Adios for now…

My Catfish video…

Hey all,
    Ted, from PayPerPost, a site which helps you get paid for blogging, did a video yesterday, which showed him as “Anotonio” the master impressionist, who turned into a catfish… He challenged us bloggers to beat him, so here, I present my OWN catfish video, where I not only change into a catfish, but also tell you how to :) [feel free to compare my video with Ted’s… Ted’s video is located at

Race Against Racism delay…

Hello all,
    I started off a Race Against Racism blogathon the last day, but I wasnt able to keep to it, due to the death of one of my close friend’s father. I had to visit him, along with my classmates, and we tried our best at consoling him. So I would like to express my condolences to my friend, Vishnu. I hope his family lives up to it…

    Anyway, I will restart the blogathon sometime today… (I have a fever :P )
