Moments which changed the world… Dorothy Counts at High School.

Hello all,
    I’m starting a new series of posts here at BlogForPeace titled Moments Which Changed The World. Here’s the first one.

    1957 - The first day at school of Dorothy Counts, at the Harry Harding High School in the USA. She was the first African American to be admitted in the school, and she was no longer able to stand the racism after 4 days.

    This is a moment which changed the state of racism in the US of A, and led way to a more liberal, though still not perfect, nation.

CNN interview about Religion with Christopher Hitchens

Hi all,
    I found this great interview video via Digg. Its done by CNN. Lou Dobbs  from CNN interviewed Christopher Hitchens, who is the author of God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything.

    This is likely the one of the few times you’ll see American news media being so respectful to this author. At the end, Lou gives a strong recommendation of the book.

    Enjoy the interview, I found it quite meaningful.

Give peace a chance - John Lennon

Hi all,
    I came across this video of John Lennon singing a song named “Give peace a chance”. What enthralled me was that I had written a poem about a year back with the same name…

    So heres the song (no, its not my poem :P ) but still a good one to hear and get inspired…
