New look, new feel…. again….
Hi all,
BlogForPeace is now sporting a brand new theme… I’ve been planning on doing it for a long time now, but didn’t get time. This theme is much more simpler, and brighter. I think that it focuses our motif “peace” in a better manner.
Moreover, the theme is much lighter, with very little images and effects. So I guess it must be easier on all you guys with dialups or slower internet connections.
If you find any errors or problems anywhere in the site, please contact me…
Cheers, and hoping to blog better
Sorry for the outage
Good evening ladies and gentlemen,
I wanted to convey my heartfelt sorry for the BlogForPeace website being down for the past few days. It happened due a faulty server change. Hoping that it will not happen again.
Thank you,
Mohan
Indefinite Intermission
Ladies and gentlemen,
It is with greatest regret that I pronounce that I’ll NOT be blogging for an indefinite amount of time, starting today. I’m leaving my cozy cul-de-sac to follow the path that destiny has in store for me…
In other words, I’m leaving home to pursue my future in higher education.
I’ll take some time to get acquainted with the facilities at my new college, and therefore the lag in my other leisure activities, like blogging.
You can expect me back in 1-2 weeks, until then, hold on tight :).
If you would like to contact me directly, I’ll be at Christ College, Bengaluru (Bangalore), studying BA FEP. Mail me, and I’ll provide you with my email id. Please note that I’ll be checking ONLY my personal email -
Mohan K.

Are you looking for Harry Potter?
Hello,
If you are a visitor from Novinky.cz, coming in from a link from an article on the leaked version of a Harry Potter book, please note that BLOGFORPEACE.ORG HAS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. The file was hosted on this server, for my other blog, Blogging India.
So please forward yourself to these respective articles, on Blogging India -
1) [15th April] Post on Blogging India about the leaked version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and to download it.
2) [21st April] Post of Blogging India about how the leaked version was actually just a fan fiction story.
I guess that it might be said at this point that the news was NOT TRUE. the so called leaked version was only a fan fiction story(see link 2.)

The Do-Follow campaign…
Hello all,
Among the bloggers, theres been a big hype about a particular Wordpress plugin called Do-Follow. Its something to do with how links are referred to, and how search engines follow up links.
All my blogs use Do Follow, and I’m a supporter of the plugin. But suddenly, there began an I Follow movement to unite all bloggers who use the plugin.
And my friend Colleen, over at Geeky Speaky, started up a list. She called it the D-List, and it was supposed to go all over the net, indexing all those who used Do Follow plugins.
I got tagged today by a fellow postie at Priori Incantatem (a Harry Potter blog), so here I am following the tradition.
***Begin to copy here***1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW us using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds” section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!
5. Leave relevant comments on the blogs listed and get a link back to your site thanks to Do Follow!

Dan, I dont know you personally, but heres a great oppurtunity to get to know you :).
Keep up the chain guys, or else the curse of Hippy Happy Rocky Zooi will be upon you

A week review…
Hello all,
I decided to start off with a week review…
- My other blog, Blogging India, is doing good, with the visitor count climbing every other day. I’ve been blogging about great events on the web, and out of the web, and yes, the response has been favourable.
- My good friend Owen Cutajar lent me an invite to the internet TV, Joost, and I’ve been checking it out (its pretty cool!). Thank you Owen
- New theme for BlogForPeace has been up and running. I’ve received a compatibility complaint from a user who claims that the blog menu cannot be seen in older browsers (IE 5.5 or older). I need to check that out…
- Yet again, Owen Cutajar did a review on our new theme
Check it out! He says its “spiffy”.
Thanks again Owen
- $25 donated to local charities
Thank you PayPerPost
Yes, thats about it
Mainstream articles coming up… Cheers

Updates over! All working OK! BlogForPeace back on track!
Hey all,
I’m extremely happy to announce that all updates that were scheduled are now over. BlogForPeace is back on track with a brand new theme and a few more widgets with added functionality.
If you’re wondering what happened to the “Digg” button, it has been removed from the main page. It is still available on all post pages. So if you want to “digg” a post, first visit the post page by clicking on the title of the post.
Click on the “Share this” link beside every post to sumbit the post to social bookmarking sites, add post feeds to your feed reader, or to email it to a friend.
If you’re using a feed reader other than Windows Live, My Yahoo or Google Feedreader, click on the “+ Rss Feed” button on the sidebar to use AddThis to add our feed to ANY of your feed readers!
Also, you can subscribe to updates(you will be automatically notified by email when BlogForPeace is updated) by entering your email id and clicking “go!” in the “Email Updates” tab in the sidebar.
Also, site search has been enhanced with a “live” capability(shows suggestions as you type).
So enjoy the new theme
If you have any comments/suggestions/complaints, they’re all welcome
Please let me know if you receive some errors while using our site, or if the site seems to be loading too slow.
Cheers
And thanks for bearing the downtime

New theme in the making…
Hi all,
Yes, here it comes. The million dollar reason why Blog For Peace hasnt been as active for the past few days as it was before… We’re working on a new theme
Inspite of my busy schedule, I took a little time off from blogging for peace, to promote my other blog, Blogging India, and to work on a newer theme for BlogForPeace
Our current theme has been online for a few good months, and well, its getting weary and old to an old eye. I’ve also received a couple of complaints from my “dialup” readers that the theme was a bit too heavy and took ages to load.
So anyway, do expect the theme online anytime this week or the next. Until then, please do forgive my lack of frequent, and interactive, entries…
Cheerios!

You can now… DIGG!
Hey all,
Did you see those little “DIGG THIS!” buttons to the left of each post? Well, if you like on of my posts, then DIGG IT!
For those of you who are not familiar with Digg, its a user driven content website.
It is an archive of all sorts of news and rumours submitted by netizens, rated by netizens, promoted by netizens or demoted by netizens.
In short, its a way to spread the word and get a review on it in the mean time! So if you like one of the posts at BlogForPeace, click on the “Digg This” button (you may need to sign up for Digg if you arent a user) and spread the word of peace throughout the world… Uh, throughout the Digg….
Until next time… Adios Amigos!
