Are you looking for Harry Potter?
Hello,
If you are a visitor from Novinky.cz, coming in from a link from an article on the leaked version of a Harry Potter book, please note that BLOGFORPEACE.ORG HAS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. The file was hosted on this server, for my other blog, Blogging India.
So please forward yourself to these respective articles, on Blogging India -
1) [15th April] Post on Blogging India about the leaked version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and to download it.
2) [21st April] Post of Blogging India about how the leaked version was actually just a fan fiction story.
I guess that it might be said at this point that the news was NOT TRUE. the so called leaked version was only a fan fiction story(see link 2.)

A week review…
Hello all,
I decided to start off with a week review…
- My other blog, Blogging India, is doing good, with the visitor count climbing every other day. I’ve been blogging about great events on the web, and out of the web, and yes, the response has been favourable.
- My good friend Owen Cutajar lent me an invite to the internet TV, Joost, and I’ve been checking it out (its pretty cool!). Thank you Owen
- New theme for BlogForPeace has been up and running. I’ve received a compatibility complaint from a user who claims that the blog menu cannot be seen in older browsers (IE 5.5 or older). I need to check that out…
- Yet again, Owen Cutajar did a review on our new theme
Check it out! He says its “spiffy”.
Thanks again Owen
- $25 donated to local charities
Thank you PayPerPost
Yes, thats about it
Mainstream articles coming up… Cheers

PPP Segmentation shoot up Bloggers revenue scheme
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Last month, PayPerPost, the online firm which focuses on blog marketing, released their Version 3 BETA. It featured a brand new innovative system, which had been in the works for over a year. Named “Segmentation”, it allowed advertisers to CHOOSE their requirement of bloggers while sumbitting an oppurtunity.

Now, bloggers taking up post oppurtunities are subjected to a filter, including parameters like Age, Sex, Location, Page Rank, Alexa Rating, Tack Score(this is the rating given to bloggers by advertisers), Disclosure and a few others, as specified by advertisers.
And whats the benefit? For advertisers, Segmentation brought in tools to select the bloggers they wanted, thus giving their product a highly specific way of advertising. For bloggers, it brought about a revolution, such that a blogger could earn up to $1000 for a single post!!!! Yes, I, as a PPP Postie, have been eyeing all those high high high paying opps! I saw Opps which were worth $1000, $123, $80, $60 and so on and so forth, but I couldn’t take any of them since my blog did not satisfy the conditions required due to a small problem from my side (specified the wrong URL to PPP
). Anyway, before I used to see Opps in the ranges of $4 - $7 at an average. Now, almost every post is worth more than $12…

Thus, its a dual benifit system, benefitting bloggers AND advertisers. Oops, did I say dual? I mean threefold… Benifitting bloggers, advertisers AND PayPerPost
From the advertiser point of view, did you know that PPP only charges 35% service fee? Other competitors, like ReviewMe, charge 100%! Thus, PPP is also effectively increasing the amount of money a blogger can earn, and also making it easy for start up companies to afford Consumer Generated Advertising.
Thus, in short, and sweet words, PPP ROCKS!!!!
:D
Adios until next time

PPP and their brand new “Review My Post”
Hey all,
Have you been wondering about those odd buttons below every BlogForPeace post which says “Get paid to review this post!” ? Well, stop wondering, and start wandering over to PayPerPost! PPP in a great new initiative launched the “Review My Post!” programme which pays the blogger when a person signs up using the “Review my post” link on his or her blogs. AND the reviewer gets money for reviewing the post as well
How cool is that?
Actually its a new initiative by PPP to advertise on blogs for more viewership from the blogging community.
I think that its a nice way to earn money, and increase traffic, because who wouldn’t love money? AND this programme is applicable for ALL PayPerPost bloggers! Its a cool way to make money via PPP while not doing paid posts. So if you arent interested in doing paid posts, you can still create a handsome revenue my sporting these radical buttons below each of your post
Its all part of the new version of PayPerPost, the BETA 3.x series. Cool isnt it? The blogger gets paid $7.50 when a new user gets paid to review the post! And the best part is, the post to be reviewed can be non-sponsored ones as well! So you get money when a user signs up and reviews your vacation photos blog
Ofcourse, the system HAS got its own defects. A blogger may get unwanted comments about his post, and may have to put up with “paid criticism”
But ofcourse, for blogs like BlogForPeace, which contributes all money it receives to charity, criticism doesnt seem such a bad exchange for a couple of lives saved
So if you’re interested, just click that small button below this post which says “Get paid to review this post”!
Adios… Oh, by the way, this was a sponsored post, sponsored by PayPerPost, but it no way were my views altered by the money involved
Cheerios…

Apogee becomes Google Adwords certified
Hey all,
One of the best search engine marketing agencies in the world, named Apogee Search, became the first Google AdWords qualified company in Texas! Apogee is a search engine marketing firm, which helps websites succeed by employing clean techniques of raising search engine ranks.
The press release says that Apogee should have been the first Google AdWords qualified company in US, but they showed up late for the test
The President of Apogee, William Leake, would like to see all search marketing firms become AdWords qualified, to let costumers differentiate between quality services and the fraudsters. He said,
“I
would like to see all search marketing firms to become qualified Google AdWords companies. In an
industry still filled with far too many hucksters and snake oil sales types, a certification from a
credible third-party like Google can help increase overall industry professionalism, and provide a
minimum yardstick by which to evaluate vendors.”
Apogee became certified on 9th January, 2007. The Apogee Search Vice President, Brian Combs, aims at making all employees pass the Google Adwords test with a percentage above 90% (the Google pass percentage being 75%). He himself scored a 93% setting a good example
.
Apogee Search is, as I said before, an SEO Company. It is based in Austin, Texas, and was founded by internet pioneers and McKinsey&Co alumini. They have numerous search marketing methods like Paid Search, Natural Search(Search Engine Optimization), Affiliate marketing, and Pay Per Call.
A quote from a client :-” LCG/Apogee Search has been crucial to the growth of our company. Even
though we rarely outsource core activities like marketing, we have
worked with LCG/Apogee Search for more than four years.”
–Steve Ledbetter,
Vice President,
Academic Superstore
Cheers
And Congrats Apogee
May your service attain greater heights with this prestigious certification

Uh… Google?
Hey all,
I had reported earlier today that Google was down. It was down for about 25 minutes. I checked up with a few of my friends, from UK, USA and Dubai, and all of them confirmed that Google was down.

But it seems that the rest of the netizens and Google critics are all in the dark about the 25 minute breakdown of the world’s largest search engine! No news reports, no blogs by Google authors!
So guys, speak out, did you realize that Google was down? Comments please!
Oh, you might be wondering why a peace blog is blogging about Google
Its just the simple fact that Google is an integral part of my life

Ahoy! PayPerPost to acquire Performancing!
Hello all,
Shocking news just in! PayPerPost (PPP), the website which lets me, and a million others, get paid to blog, is going to acquire Performancing - the online blogging community, whose free products include Performancing Metrics, Performancing Community, Performancing FireFox(Firefox blogging toolbar), Performancing Partners and Performancing Exchange.
I’ve been using most of the Performancing features for over 8 months now, to run BlogForPeace. The Performancing FireFox extension is a special favourite of mine
But it seems like PPP isnt acquiring the plugin as such. The plugin is going to be spun off under a different brand.
I’ve also been using Peformancing Partners, but it was my tough luck, that I didn’t get any sponsors!
I’ve used Performancing Exchange in the past, and I’ve found it to be quite effective. Very useful in getting readers to your blog. And I mean true, genuinely interested readers. It was quite a good move by PPP to acquire this feature.
Aaaaand Performancing Metrics. The cool service which counted your visitors, no. of blog post reads, no. of comments etc etc etc. Another favourite of mine, and acquired by PPP…
See the news at - http://blog.payperpost.com/2006/12/payperpost-acquires-performancingcom.html
See the TechCrunch blog at - http://www.techcrunch.com/2006/12/27/payperpost-in-the-news-again/
I think that these acquisitions will help PPP soar to greater heights. I’m not very sure about the features though. I would have preferred if all the features were still under one name, under the same management. I wish PPP had acquired the whole of the Performancing network, and crew
Unfortunately, this hasn’t happened, and isnt likely to happen, so I resign myself to praying for the best…
This post was brought to you by PayPerPost… But that hasn’t in any way affected my views, or comments.
As I’m typing this post from Performancing FireFox, I hope to see better results coming out of the Performancing community and network. Meanwhile, PayPerPost is yet again basking in the glory of its triumph! So much is happening over what was to be a dull vacation…

Site Review of ReviewMe
Hey all,
There’s a lot of buzz going about the internet about Consumer Generated Advertising. I’m a dedicated member of PayPerPost (
) and I select only the most blending in posts for BlogForPeace(the money is used to pay for the domain, and the rest goes to charity).
But, there were many people out there who said that a new site called ReviewMe was better than PayPerPost. So just for the kick of it, I thought I would sign up, and so I did.
At first sight, ReviewMe(RM) loaded faster than PPP, but was less professional, and less attractive to a blogger, than PPP. PPP had this professional looking “https” protocol, which is like a guarantee for security for a person more well versed with the internet. But, RM beats PPP at the fact that you dont have to sign in every single time you open the site(cookies
)…
The sign up procedure was simple, and easy at RM. It allowed 14+ old persons, which is good for kids to make easy money! But the lack of a “Terms of Service” is conspicous. And since they allow under 18s, they should be having a good Privacy Policy as well, which they lack!
Their response was good! I got my site accepted in 3 minutes, compared to the 3 days wait at PPP. And this is my first paid post
Their system is good. Advantages are - 1) Posts can be taken now, and typed in later(within specified time limit) , 2) Advertisers find you and you can accept or deny advertisers, so your blog wont look like a splog. 3) They require you to disclose the post as a paid post 4) Quite fast 5) Pays a minimum of $20! 6) Money based on your blog’s popularity and rankings
But the disadvantages, or rather, what lacks, is a proper Privacy Policy, a proper Terms of Service, and immediate payment(like in PPP). It also lacks a motivative spirit… I dont know, I shouldnt judge by first appearances.
Anyway, you guys check the site out, and tell me how it is…
Cheers, and until next time, cya!
P.S: BlogForPeace might get a new blogger soon!

Why Oh Why do I love PayPerPost?
Hey all,
I asked myself today, why oh why do you I love PayPerPost? Why should I spend so much of my time out there working for them, when I really dont need much blog advertising. Why do I need so much money? I just wanted to cover my hosting expenses…

Well, the answer came to me in a flash… Uh, a few flashes
- I love the staff
- I love the other members
- I love to blog
- I love the interface
- I love money
I can buy more domains
- I made so many great friends
- My PR hopped from 4 to 5!
- I love the advertisers
- It gives me a lot to blog about
- Provides own images, no need to worry about ugly frogs etc for image hosting
What I would like at PPP -
- More advertisers
- More Charities to donate to
- Image hosting (?)
- Blog hosting (?)
- A PPP Blue Monster V2 helicoptor, based in India
Lol…
I guess I stand justified at spending my time at PayPerPost… But mind you, I’m not spending too much time… Just a little… And I already have $300+
Thank you PPP!
Toodle for now
